Obituary: David Edward (Papaw) Yarberry , 85, of Buckville, was reunited with his son and family in Heaven on Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Mabelvale to William Marion and Ruth Annabell Cole Yarberry. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War and retired from Safeway Ice Cream plant. Papaw was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved most of all his vegetable garden. He could fix anything. He would always have the coffee waiting for you. He did whatever he could to help anyone. He loved his family, above all.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; a son, Alvin E. Yarberry; a great-grandson, Dallas Sorrells; and a number of brothers and sisters.
David is survived by his wife of 66 years, Erma Louise Henley Yarberry; a son, Richard Edward Yarberry and Brenda Frame Yarberry; a daughter, Debra Kay Yarberry Sorrells and James B. Sorrells; two brothers, Benjamin Harrison Ogle and Lonnie Ray Yarberry; seven grandsons: Richard and Melissa Yarberry, Daniel and Lori Yarberry, Alvin and Breanna Yarberry, Evan and Laura Yarberry, James and Lena Sorrells, David Aaron and Courtney Sorrells and Michael Cowan; two granddaughters, Tasha Fields Drowns and Kristina Louise Sorrells; 28 great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017, at New Hope Nazarene Church located at 5519 Atwood Road in Little Rock. Burial will follow at Olive Hill Cemetery in Mabelvale. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, July 5, 2017, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home located at 10900 Interstate 30 in Little Rock 501-455-5800.
