Jerry Thomas Beene was born in 1881 in Dykesville, LA to Willis Marion Beene and Rachel Druscilla Elliott. Jerry's first wife was Blanche Goode 1884-1922. Jerry and Blanche had one child, Lillian b in Union Co, AR in 1905.

His second wife was Mary Elizabeth Smith Emerson Beene. Jerry and Mary had 5 children:
Thomas Marion Beene 1928-1959, married Barbara Jean Thomas 1931-2006.
Mary Druscilla Beene Willis 1929-2011 married James Willis 1928-
Jerry Ann Beene Pifer 1931-1995 married Otis Melton Pifer
Raymond Elliott Beene 19J32-2004
Joe Emmon Beene 1932-2005
