Biography

OBITUARY: Ruth Red Burris Doyle, 80, of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008. Born October 2, 1927, in Pulaski County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Walter and Zelia (Grissom) Red.
Mrs. Doyle was a long-time employee of Wal-Mart in Levy, and a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers, Clay, Harley, W. B., Everett, and Willard, she is survived by two sons, Steve Burris and his wife Donna, of Bloomington, Indiana, and Gary Burris and his wife, Susan, of Benton, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Jeff Burris and his wife, Holly, and Kevin Burris and Kelly and Noah, all of Benton, one brother, Carroll Red of Orange County, California, three sisters, Mildred Williams and Margaret Mueller, both of Arlington, Texas, and Artie Lee Pollom of Davis, California, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2008, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock (501-661-9111) with Reverend Luke Flesher officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Olive Hill Cemetery Association, 15416 North Sardis Road, Mabelvale, Arkansas 72103.
