Biography

Walter's first marriage (to Lily Mashburn) ended in divorce. He married Zelia Augustus "Gussie" Grissom on March 21, 1908, in Pulaski County, AR. He and Gussie had ten children. Their daughter Ruth Red Burris Doyle and sons Walter and Harley are buried in Olive Hill.
